Last Updated: March 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how KNOCKNOW LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the KnocKnow mobile application and related API services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed through:

  • The KnocKnow application interfaces.
  • The KnocKnow backend API and database.
  • Supporting infrastructure (for example, hosting, logs, and security services).

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services that you connect to or that operate independently (for example, authentication pages or third-party map providers), which are governed by their own privacy notices.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following categories of information.

A. Account and Authentication Information

  • Unique user identifier associated with your authenticated account.
  • Authentication metadata needed to validate access (for example, token claims presented at request time).

We do not intentionally store your raw password in the KnocKnow API database.

B. User-Generated Activity Data

When you use the Service, we store activity records you create, including:

  • Sales records you save (for example, selected home, sold timestamp).
  • Notes you create/edit (for home or zone contexts), including note content and timestamps.
  • Knocked Zone records (for example, selected Zone, associated block IDs, and submitted Zone GeoJSON payload).
  • Search history records (for example, search area text, filters used, confidence and count metrics, and optional center point values).

C. Property and Geographic Data Processed by the Service

  • Property/parcel-related records present in the underlying dataset (such as address components, block identifiers, and property attributes).
  • Geometry and map features used to render Zones, homes, and related map layers.
  • Geocoding inputs (for example, city/address text entered by a user) and resulting coordinates used for search processing.

D. Technical and Operational Data

  • API request metadata and operational logs (for example, timestamps, endpoint usage, error traces).
  • Infrastructure diagnostics and security telemetry necessary to maintain reliability and detect abuse.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Authenticate users and protect account/session security.
  • Persist user-requested activity data (sales, notes, knocked Zones, search history).
  • Deliver map/search features and API responses.
  • Debug incidents, monitor performance, and improve reliability.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms, including fraud/abuse prevention.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

4. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (WHERE APPLICABLE)

Depending on jurisdiction, we process information under one or more legal bases, including:

  • Performance of a contract (providing the Service you request).
  • Legitimate interests (security, product integrity, and operational analytics).
  • Compliance with legal obligations.
  • Consent, where required by law.

5. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We may share information with:

  • Service providers/processors supporting hosting, authentication, storage, monitoring, and infrastructure operations.
  • Legal/regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, subpoena, or valid legal process.
  • Successors/assigns in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (subject to customary confidentiality controls).

We do not sell your personal information as defined under applicable law.

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Service and preserve user-requested history/features.
  • Meet security, audit, legal, accounting, and compliance obligations.
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary by data category and legal requirements. When data is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it consistent with applicable law and technical constraints.

7. SECURITY

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

If information is processed outside your jurisdiction, we take steps designed to support lawful transfers and appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or higher age threshold where required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal information unlawfully, contact us to request deletion.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Service may rely on third-party providers (for example, mapping, geocoding, authentication, and hosting providers). Their data practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for independent third-party practices.
